We LOVE to show families why it is wonderful to be a Niles Viking! Contact a principal or director to schedule a personal appointment. We will provide a tour, answer questions, and offer additional information.

Enrollment Overview

We offer year-round enrollment. During the school year, please visit your child’s school. For summer enrollment, see the information below.

Summer Enrollment

• Kindergarten: Register online or pick up a packet at the Niles Administration Center, 1 Tyler Street, between mid-June and mid-August.
• Preschool (GSRP): Contact Michelle Skalla at mskalla@ymcagm.org.
• Eastside Connections: Enrollment approved by Principal Joe Racht.
• Elementary Students: Register online or pick up a packet at the Administration Center.
• Middle School: Enroll at Ring Lardner Middle School, 801 N. 17th Street.
• High School: Enroll at Niles High School, 1441 Eagle Street.
• Alternative Education: Contact Jeanie Bradley at 269-684-9554.
• Enrollment Questions: Contact Angie Pingel at 269-683-0736 ext. 10017.

Health Services

• Berrien County Health Department: Immunization clinics available.
• FREE hearing, vision, and dental screenings for Preschool and Kindergarten (June–August, by appointment).

After School Programs

The YMCA of Southwest Michigan offers after school programs for Ballard, Eastside, Howard-Ellis, and Northside. Click here for more information.

GSRP

The 2024–25 GSRP enrollment packet is not available online. Contact Michelle Skalla at Northside Child Development Center, 2020 N. 5th Street, or mskalla@ymca.org. Submission of a packet does not guarantee placement.

Kindergarten Registration

Eligibility Requirements:

• Be 5 years old on or before December 1, 2024
• Official birth certificate
• Vision and hearing screening
• Proof of residency
• Up-to-date immunizations
