Science Olympiad is a school competition which tests knowledge of various science topics. Howard fourth and fifth grade students selected for Science Olympiad meet after school from January through March to explore and conduct experiments and discuss results. These students dedicate an hour before or after school each week and also build items at home. This preparation leads to the final competition, which is held at Lake Michigan College in early March.
