The Automotive Technician program at Niles High School is a NATEF (National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation) program which provides instruction in basic automotive service and repair. The State of Michigan requires all auto technicians to be certified in areas in which they are employed. BCC covers light vehicle general service technician training which includes,safety and shop equipment and tools, shop operations, engine tune up and performance, suspension and steering, automotive brakes and automotive electrical.

We offer a mix of instruction along with hands on experience designed to prepare the student for ASE (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence) testing. The successful student must be ready to meet the demands of advanced technical training or an entry level position in the automotive repair industry.
