Meet the Guidance Program Staff
Our counseling team is structured to provide comprehensive support for academic planning and personal development:
Mrs. Bierwagen and Ms. Rinehart serve as our primary academic counselors. They are available to assist students with:
Developing a four-year high school academic plan.
Selecting appropriate courses and building student schedules.
Preparing for standardized testing.
A wide range of other academic support services.
Mrs. Rough serves as our Behavior Specialist. She focuses on addressing students’ social and emotional needs, providing specialized support to enhance their overall well-being and success in the school environment.
College and Career Center Support
The Guidance Department is strongly supported by the personnel in our College and Career Center:
Mrs. Erika Ervin, our 12th grade Dean and College and Career Advisor, and Mrs. Joanna Pugh, the Instructional Assistant in the College and Career Center, play a vital role in connecting students with future opportunities. Their
responsibilities include: Supporting juniors and seniors in their postsecondary explorations
Communicating, organizing, and coordinating opportunities for students to interact with college representatives, explore workforce opportunities, and attend field trips to college campuses.

Essential administrative support is provided by:
Mrs. Angie Marciniak, the Guidance Office Secretary, is integral to the department’s operations. She supports all guidance department efforts and is our resident expert on Parchment, the secure online platform used to send official transcripts throughout the senior year.
