Viking of the Week is a weekly celebration at Ballard Elementary. During the week, students caught being respectful, responsible and/or safe are given a Positive Referral. These positive referrals are then collected and put into a bin. Each day during our morning announcements, 2  positive referrals are drawn and they are the “Daily Shout Outs” for the awesome choices. Each week, a student from each grade level is chosen to be the Vikings of the Week. They get to wear a Viking helmet for the week to celebrate their positive choices, they get their picture taken, and they get a prize bag.
